the Directory resided, and I arrived in <placename>London</placename>
on <date>Feb</date><hi rend="superscript"><date>r</date></hi><date>. 10</date><hi rend="superscript"><date>th</date></hi><date>. 1768.</date> Notwithstanding all difficulties 
in learning the language, my Savior owned
me graciously, and <emotion>gave me to feel his peace,
and to enjoy the Love & Confidence of my sisters,</emotion>
and likewise the Love of all the other B<hi rend="superscript">rn</hi>

<hi rend="superscript">rs</hi>. In <date>1769</date> I was present at the Synod at
<placename>Marienborn</placename>, and in <date>1771</date>, I was called to <placename>Ful-
-rede</placename> to take upon me the internal & external
Care of the House and Choir of the Widows there
I was well aware of all the difficulties attending
upon these 2 offices; but the circumstances of
the House requiring it, I ventured to accept
of them, trusting in my dear Lord & Savior,
who had hitherto always assisted me. I arrived
