& made Preparations for a Synod to be kept
there. By the Synod we were sent the 3<hi rend="superscript">d</hi> time to 
<placename>Lancaster</placename>, where we served that Congrn with <persname>Br.
Bader</persname> & <persname>Br. & Sr. Oerter</persname>. We have been in all
upon the whole 22 Years & 4 Month in <placename>Lancaster </placename>
at different Times. <date>1758</date>, At a Synod in <placename>Libanon</placename> I
was ordained a Deacon of the Brns. Church <date>1778</date>
<date>Nov. 9</date><hi rend="superscript"><date>th</date></hi><date>.</date> we had our Marriage Jubilee here in <placename>Beth,
lehem</placename>. It was a great Grace to me & my Wife, that
we <add>could</add> live here in the Cong<hi rend="underline">rn</hi> House, where we amidst
our great Weakness, & in all kinds of Weather could
frequent the beautiful <add>blessed</add> Meetings, for the Benefit & 
Blessing of our Heart. If I Upon Consi<add>de</add>ration from 
what a large Family I am descended, when more than
100 Persons were nearly related to me, I am astonished
on account of the Grace, that our Savr. has chosen me
out of it, & brought me to his Congregation, whereas
I am one of the worst among <add>them</add>, was also looked upon
as such by them, & myself. Thousand thousand Thanks 
to Thee dearest Lord for ever be, for what thou hast
done on me poor Wretch, & dost still daily.
