ed gratitude for every mercy & especially
for the experiences I gained by occasion of
the various trials I had to pass thro'. Thus
on taking a retrospective view of the time

<emotion>more reason to rejoice, than to complain.</emotion>
The unfeigned love of the B<hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript">rn</hi></hi><hi rend="superscript"></hi> & S<hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript">r</hi></hi><hi rend="superscript">s</hi> which
often strengthened me in time of tribula-
tion, had left <emotion>a pleasing impression upon
my mind. With inexpressible feelings</emotion> I
parted with the B<hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript">r</hi></hi><hi rend="superscript">n</hi> & S<hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript">r</hi></hi><hi rend="superscript">s</hi> to whom I
felt united in the best of bonds. Towards
the middle of <date>May 1790</date> I arrived again
in <placename>England</placename>, & in <placename>Fulneck</placename> entered into
marriage with the single <persname>S</persname><hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript"><persname>r</persname></hi></hi><hi rend="superscript"></hi><persname> Eliz</persname><hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript"><persname>t</persname></hi></hi><hi rend="superscript"><persname>h</persname></hi><persname>
White</persname>, whom I took as from the hands of
my d<hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript">r</hi></hi> Lord, & with whom, blessed be his
name, I have lived in such heart's fellow-
ship to this day (<date>Jan. 4</date><hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript"><date>t</date></hi></hi><hi rend="superscript"><date>h</date></hi><date> 1807</date>) as calls
forth <emotion>my deepest gratitude,</emotion> she having
proved what I earnestly prayed for, a devo-
