the blessing of the Cong<hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript">n</hi></hi> for his approaching departure
accordingly all the members of the E. Conference with
his Children and in his room, and <persname>B</persname><hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript"><persname>r</persname></hi></hi><hi rend="superscript"></hi><persname> Benade</persname> kneeling down
with them, offered up a fervent prayer, thanking and praising
our Saviour for all the grace and favour bestowed upon him
during his pilgrimage here on earth, for all the blessings
and benefits conferred upon the <orgname>B</orgname><hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript"><orgname>rn's</orgname></hi></hi><hi rend="superscript"></hi><orgname> Cong</orgname><hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript"><orgname>n</orgname>s</hi></hi> here and
in other places, yea upon so many souls and of our circle
by means of this his faithful Servant, and for that gracious
support afforded him during this last afflicting illness
and commending him still to the grace of God during
his last dying moments. It was a most affecting sight to
see the composure and presence of mind [?] which he re-
-ceived this blessing, and the Serenity of his Countenance
expressive of the blessed enjoyment of his inmost [?]
not was it less remarkable that he added a Solemn
Amen, to this transaction, which was attended with
<emotion>such a powerful feeling of the peace and presence
of God, that all present were melted into tears;</emotion> after
this he looked forward with a longing desire <add>for</add> his
final dissolution, and expected every day would be
his last. But his patience and resignation was
<add>still</add> put to an unexpected trial, owing partly to the
natural strength of his constitution, which however
only served to place his steadfast confidence in our
Saviour in a more conspicuous light. Once seeing a
number of B<hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript">rn</hi></hi> & S<hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript">r's</hi></hi><hi rend="superscript"></hi> standing by his bed-side
