This brought me low in the dust be-
fore him <emotion>as I felt myself exceedingly

following I had the unspeakable fa-
vour to partake of the Lord's Supper for
the first time. Gratitude for mercies
rec<hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript">d</hi></hi><hi rend="superscript"></hi> <emotion>excited in me a wish to serve
our dear Saviour</emotion> which impulse grew
stronger by each enjoyment of the Holy
Sacrament. This I however kept to
myself thinking it almost presumptu-
ous in such a poor worm to think of
becoming a servant of Christ. The last
year of my abode in <placename>Neudietendorf</placename>
<emotion>I found myself much happier</emotion> than
in the 2 first, altho' in the situation
of a day labourer. I pressed however
for permission to return home to
