Professor wrote in my Memoandum <sic>Boock</sic>  <corr>Book</corr>:
Pracepta Christi: sunt optima Jura, that is:
The Advises of Christ are the highest in the Law.
this made a very deep Impression upon me, especially
as I was a restless Creature <add>in my Heart </add>from my Youth. I
fell upon this Thought: if I heard  <add>studyd</add> Philosophy there
I should find the Rest of my Soul, but all in vain.
I became more a Naturaliste & found for my Heart
no Satisfaction at all. A.<hi rend="superscript">o</hi> <date>1724</date> Myn <sic>Oncle</sic>  <corr>Uncle</corr> sent

Condition in respect to my poor Soul: I saw myself
lost for ever, without any <sic>Advise</sic>  <corr>Advice</corr> or Comfort, I <sic>weept</sic>  <corr>wept</corr>

my Life. In a couple a Days I was well & as it were
regenerated. Every Body in the House saw that there
any Thing extraordinary happened to me & thought
I would turn a Pietist. The Year <add>following</add> I took here my

prayd, I sung, <sic>weept</sic>  <corr>wept</corr>, read the <sic>Bibel</sic>  <corr>Bible</corr> & searchd in
every Religion if I could find any where a Congre-
gation of Children of God, but to no Purpose. <sic>Accidently</sic>  <corr>Accidentally</corr>
a News-Paper fell into my Hand, where I found a
pretty Testimony of our blessed Disciple, directly it
came into my Head, may be that's the Angel who
shall preach the Gospel of the Lord to his Flock.
I wished for a <sic>Opportuny</sic>  <corr>Opportunity</corr> to become <sic>aquainted</sic>  <corr>acquainted</corr> with him,
but for all that could not resolve to go to <placename>Hhuth</placename> & to
remain here I had no rest, because I found Nobody

as restless as formerly. Here I became <sic>aquainted</sic>  <corr>acquainted</corr>

together would visit <placename>Hhuth</placename>. However I slept this

who was Minister at <placename>Fonendorf</placename> & laboured w.<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> great
