greater honor could be conferred. Accordingly, from that time
until his death,<persname> "Killbuck"</persname> was variously known as<persname> "Captain Wil-
liam Henry," </persname>and<persname> "William Henry Killbuck," </persname>and towards the 
close of his life, as <persname>"Old William Henry."</persname>  <persname>"Gelelemend"</persname> died in
<date>1811</date> and was buried in the Moravian Cemetery, at <placename>Sharon, Ohio.</placename>
    In <date>1873</date>, a member of the same family, <persname>John Henry Killbuck</persname>,
born in Indian Territory, a great, great grandson of <persname>Gelelemend</persname>,
was brought from the Moravian Indian Mission and placed in the
Moravian Boarding School at <placename>Nazareth, Pa., </placename>and subsequently
advanced to the Moravian College at <placename>Bethlehem</placename>. Later he became
active in the Moravian Mission in <placename>Alaska</placename> and for some years,
under Government appointment, has been Chief Herdsman in
charge of development of the Alaskan reindeer.
