      <hi rend="underline"><persname>William</persname></hi> emigrated to <placename>Hope, Indiana</placename>, where he
died. He married <persname>Lucy Essex</persname>.  He had six children;
<persname>Regina</persname>, who married <persname>Lawrence Rights</persname>; <persname>Melinda</persname> married
<persname>Henry Weinland</persname>. She died in <hi rend="underline"><placename>          </placename></hi>. <persname>Charlotte</persname> married
<persname>Lewis Dilman</persname>; <persname>Lewis</persname> married <persname>Roseltha Lee</persname>.
<persname>William</persname>, lost his life during the Civil War at the Battle
of Wild Cat, <placename>Kentucky</placename>.
      His second wife was <persname>Maria Davis</persname>, who bore him
five children, but two boys died in infancy; the others 
were daughters, <persname>Lydia</persname>, <persname>Margaret</persname>, and <persname>Regina</persname>.
      <persname>Lydia</persname> married <persname>Thomas Fuller</persname>, remained in <placename>North
Carolina</placename>.
      <persname>Margaret</persname> married <persname>Edward B. Fishel</persname>, emigrated to
<placename>Hope, Indiana</placename>.
     <persname> Regina </persname>married <persname>William Fishel</persname>, emigrated to<placename> Hope,
Indiana</placename>, then to <placename>Olney, Illinois</placename>. They had nine children.
      <persname>Margare</persname>t had eight children; <persname>Hermenia L</persname>, <persname>Laura S</persname>,
<persname>Harriet A</persname>, <persname>Julius C</persname>, <placename><persname>Edward H</persname></placename>, died in infancy; <persname>Charles S</persname>,
<persname>Ulysses R</persname>, a little girl died in infancy.
      His third wife was <persname>Betsy Petticord</persname>, maiden name <persname>Hamilton</persname>.
