life, so was he served by the good people near whose house the
accident happened, lovingly and as well as they knew how. May
the Lord repay them! He himself was conscious to the very end,
and he could speak clearly and was easily understood by his wife
and his sister <persname>Lischer</persname>, as well as with the <persname>Brethren Otto</persname> and
<persname>Doeling</persname>, who went there to his aid. To the Brethren present he
said, " As a poor sinner I go home; The Saviour's blood and
righteousness, My beauty is, my glorius dress; " and with this
thought he fell asleep quietly at midnight, amid the singing
of the brethren. His age was 60 years less 15 days.
