writes himself as follows;
<emotion>Love & gratitude</emotion> towards my ever
precious Jesus prompt me an unwor-
thy human creature to leave some
few hints behind me of his mar-
vellous loving kindness & tender
mercies vouchsafed to me one my
journey thro' life. According to the
purposes of his love & grace I was
favored with Parents who were not
only intent upon living to the Lord
themselves but had the eternal
welfare of their offspring much at
heart, which evidenced itself in
my dear & respected Mother before
