<persname></persname>Memoir of the late Brother <persname>Benjamin Beck</persname>
who departed in <placename>London</placename>, <date>Nov. 29th 1849</date> in
the 69th year of his age.
Our departed Brother was descended from a family
distinguished in the missionary annals of our
Church. His venerable grandfather B<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. John Beck
was one of the founders of the Mission in Green-
land, and the honoured instrument, in the
hand of GOD, for the conversion to the faith of
Christ of the well known Samuel Kajarnak,
the first fruits of the Greenland nation.
