When helf departed (as by a loud stone drawn into the
Beloved of my soul) wore now turn'd into grieving
and sighing. This was a painful [?] indeed!

I poured all my complaints into my Saviour's
sympathizing heart, and [?], who brought me by
the teaching of the holy Spirit, to enjoy a real blessing
in poverty. I cannot repine at what I have suffer'd,
I find solid happiness and sweet repose in this state
of entire dependance upon my dear Redeemer, from
moment to moment. I rejoice in this, that I am
nothing, and He is all! O to die into this Death, and
to be entirely crucified with Him, is the sum of
my most ardent wishes! --
I long to be fully prepared in the bridal dress
of this righteousness, for the marriage [?] above,
and blessedly to close my pilgrimage below, that
I may see that dear [?] men,
Whom I [?] adore
But when I shall behold his Face
Then I shall love Him more!
Eyes, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the Vail
A life of Joy and peace! -----
