I may meet with in this here below,
to work together for my good, & be made
a means of preparing me in the ap-
pointed time to join the company of
redeemed sinners in thy presence, when
thou hast promised to wipe off all tears
for evermore. During our voyage to the
West Indies we had blessed experience, that
the Lord our Savior still can rebuke the
winds & seas at the cry of a disciple. We
spent an agreeable & blessed fortnight
with the Missionaries & the Negro Congn
in Barbadoes  Barbados, & landed safely at Tobago,
grateful for all the mercies we had ex-
perienced. Here we found a small com-
pany of Negroes baptized by Br Schirmer,
who with his wife had been here a year
before our arrival. This Mission had
been begun at the repealed & earnest
solicitations of our late much respected
friend Mr Hamilton, who had the salva-
tion of the Negroes much at heart, &
together with some proprietors of estates,
took the support of the Mission on him-
self. Some of these however had no other

Register.
