take it in its infancy. I was born
May 14th 1746 in London. My Pa-
rents were then only constant hear-
ers at the Brn,s Chapel, wherefore their
application to have me baptized by
the Brn could not be granted; they
however determined to defer my bap-
tism till one or both of them were 
in such connexion  connection with the Brn as
to admit of it. In the same meeting
in which my Father was recd into
the Congn I was baptized by the late
Br Schlight. In my being brought
home to my dear Mother, she took
