confidence in thee my Lord, that thro thy
grace I shall sustain no wreck, but that
thou wilt lead me safe thro this vale
of tears untill  until in thy own good time thou
wilt land me to rest in thy presence for
ever. How gladly shall I be thereto meet, 
- Thy Chosen at thy thro' pierced feet
That worship thee and sing the song of

June 2d 1798 a proposal of marriage
was made to me with the S. Br John
Chambers
choir laborer of the S. Brn in
Fulneck - having receivd a call to be assi..
stant Congr. Warden & Inspector of the
Congn Shop. I earnestly intreated
our Savior to make this matter clear to me,
that I might not in any measure accept
of the proposal from any other motive,
but in simply following the direction
of Him who best knew what was 
good for me.
