      William emigrated to Hope, Indiana, where he
died. He married Lucy Essex.  He had six children;
Regina, who married Lawrence Rights; Melinda married
Henry Weinland. She died in           . Charlotte married
Lewis Dilman; Lewis married Roseltha Lee.
William, lost his life during the Civil War at the Battle
of Wild Cat, Kentucky.
      His second wife was Maria Davis, who bore him
five children, but two boys died in infancy; the others 
were daughters, Lydia, Margaret, and Regina.
      Lydia married Thomas Fuller, remained in North
Carolina.
      Margaret married Edward B. Fishel, emigrated to
Hope, Indiana.
      Regina married William Fishel, emigrated to Hope,
Indiana, then to Olney, Illinois. They had nine children.
      Margaret had eight children; Hermenia L, Laura S,
Harriet A, Julius C, Edward H, died in infancy; Charles S,
Ulysses R, a little girl died in infancy.
      His third wife was Betsy Petticord, maiden name Hamilton.
