greater honor could be conferred. Accordingly, from that time
until his death, "Killbuck" was variously known as "Captain Wil-
liam Henry,"
and "William Henry Killbuck," and towards the 
close of his life, as "Old William Henry."  "Gelelemend" died in
1811 and was buried in the Moravian Cemetery, at Sharon, Ohio.
    In 1873, a member of the same family, John Henry Killbuck,
born in Indian Territory, a great, great grandson of Gelelemend,
was brought from the Moravian Indian Mission and placed in the
Moravian Boarding School at Nazareth, Pa., and subsequently
advanced to the Moravian College at Bethlehem. Later he became
active in the Moravian Mission in Alaska and for some years,
under Government appointment, has been Chief Herdsman in
charge of development of the Alaskan reindeer.
