of my giving so circumstantial an account
of this is, because I date my real conver-
sion from this hour. I now could run
my race cheerfully, <emotion>happy in the thought
of being led by his hand,</emotion> & being guided
by his eye, & being <emotion>principally concern-
ed to be found of him in peace,</emotion> & ready
for his every purpose with me. In the
beginning of <date>1779</date> I quite unexpectedly
received a call to be Choir Servant of
the single B<hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript">r</hi></hi><hi rend="superscript">n</hi> in <placename>Fulneck</placename>. <emotion>With fear
& trembling</emotion> I accepted of it. I was then
engaged as a Clerk to a respectable House
in <placename>London</placename>. My employer was pleased to
place great confidence in me, & we respect-
ed each other much. He however threw
no obstacle in my way, but said that if
I thought it right in my conscience
to follow my call, he wished me the Lord's
blessing. Our dear Lord having prepared
my way thus far, I set out <date>Feb</date><hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript"><date>y</date></hi></hi><hi rend="superscript"></hi><date> 2</date><hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript"><date>d</date></hi></hi> for
<placename>Fulneck</placename> after a most affectionate fare-
well of my dearly beloved Father. In <placename>Ful-
neck</placename> I was received with much love, &
the wish of my heart was: Dear Savior,
as thou hast been pleased to call me
