So Thou help me! - The Entanglement was instantly cut asun-
-der, and I was as free from him that moment & ever after, as
if I had never seen him or heard of him, in my life. -- ------- --
<gap></gap>In a blessed Meeting kept by y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi> d<hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript">r</hi></hi> <persname>Count Zinzendorf</persname>,
I had an amazing stroke upon my heart, as if stabbed to the quick
by y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi> sword of y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi> spirit. - This was a new awakening of an evan-
-gelical kind, differing entirely from y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi> former, which was
legal: now I was in a do quite particular leading of the
holy Spirit. - <emotion>I felt my deep depravity, but not with fright
and terror. Floods of tears streamed from my eyes,</emotion> & in a
tender godly sorrow & condition my heart was day & night
sighing soft for the Beloved. This was the dawn of that
memorable Day, in which He was pleas'd in a powerful man-
-ner to manifest Himself to my poor heart! Thus all my
grief was drown'd, <emotion>Pure delight I found</emotion>! He was too
strong for me, & prevailed: thus he overcame me
by this bloody fight, now I was led Captive by those
bands with right. -------- This was the day of his
power, when y<hi rend="underline"><hi rend="superscript">e</hi></hi><hi rend="superscript"></hi> Covenant was seated, & the knot was tied!
I felt that my debt was paid, and full atonement
made. Sweet was his pardon to my Soul, my Sin-sick
heart was now made whole. I was as one new born,
having found favour in His sight. That He was
made [?] for me, hell-deserving Sinner, afforded
                              great Consolation of this heart
